Lifetime Pro Court Review
The Lifetime Pro Court height-adjustable portable basketball system features a quality UV-protected backboard and the telescopic mechanism ranges from 7.5 feet to 10 feet.
The all-weather net makes it a good competitor to fight against harsh weather all year round.
With a classic rim, the easy assemble basketball system features 27 gallons base. You can fill it either with water or sand.
With extra mobility and adaptability features, this system can be rolled to any place with ease.
However, it is more of a beginner’s basketball system. The 27 gallons base is preferably for novice players who are learning the art of playing basketball.
Furthermore, the weaker rim and backboard both compromise the overall charm of the playing.
But if you are a newbie, you will love this hoop because it is great for learning the game.

Lifetime Pro Court Main Features
In the Lifetime Pro Court review, we are going to talk about all the aspects of the basketball system in detail.
Whether it is the backboard, the quality of the rim used in the system, the supporting pole, or the height adjustment mechanism. We will cover everything in every aspect possible.
Backboard
Lifetime Pro Court features a 44 inches backboard. The material used to make the backboard is polycarbonate, which is unbreakable.
The 44 inches backboard features screen-printed graphics which is fade resistant. It also fights against harsh UV light, keeping the backboard look uncompromised.

The issue, however, is that the polycarbonate material has mediocre rebound performance. It also wiggles when the ball hits the surface.
Secondly, the size of the backboard is too small for every type of player. It can only support beginners to intermediate playing efforts.
You cannot shoot bank shots and layups on a 44 inches backboard. So if you’re an advanced hoopster, you should look for something like a 60″ tempered glass model from Spalding
Rim
The Lifetime Pro Court basketball system features a classic rim. The 18 inches black solid steel rim has 1/2 inches steel braces with it.
You will also find a nylon net with the hoop.
The classic standard rim lacks compression springs though. This makes the rim too bouncy for shots, and flimsy at the same time.
Therefore, since this system does not have a breakaway rim, you should avoid dunking and slamming.
Being a classic rim, it is directly screwed into the offset of a polycarbonate backboard. This makes the rebound shots longer and lags overall performance.
Serious and professional players never encourage such type of performance.
Support Pole
The Lifetime Pro Court basketball system features 2.75 inches support pole in a round shape. It is a three-piece support pole, which lacks high-grade quality.
It means when the support pole is of low quality, the chance of compromised stability of the basketball hoop is higher. For example, when you are driving to the hoop to shoot the ball, the chances of colliding and getting injured is possible.
Base
In this Lifetime Pro Court review, let’s talk about the base as well. This system comes with a 27 gallons base.
It allows you to either fill the base with water or sand. Unlike Spalding Hybrid, the Pro Court series lacks the option of compartmentalized water and sand division.
Such a small base size is made specifically for beginner players.
With this model, an experienced player will never get the thrill. In other words, since the base is not strong, you can only dream of dunking and slamming the ball.
But if you are a beginner, or are buying an entry-level hoop for your kid, don’t worry. The Pro Court is made for you!
Height Adjustment
With the Lifetime Pro Court basketball system, you can adjust the height in a range of 7.5 feet to 10 feet. You can also enjoy 6 inches overall increment in height.
This model comes with an advanced telescoping height adjustment mechanism.
However, this mechanism is not friendly for the kids and beginners.
The person who is adjusting the height of the hoop has to support the upper half of the hoop system themselves.
You have to simultaneously lower or raise the mechanism to make it work.

What Do I like About Lifetime Pro Court?
There are certain things that are great about the Lifetime Pro Court basketball system.
Even though it is pretty much for the beginners. Some features that make it a standout model by Lifetime are impressive. Some of the things that I consider are great are:
- No need for a toolbox when assembling the basketball hoop. Simple and essential tools would be enough to stand the structure.
- The standard classic rim is better than the low-grade rim used in similarly priced hoops.
- UV protected polycarbonate backboard, protecting it from turning into an uninspiring yellow-toned board.
- Telescoping adjustment type for the height adjustability, making it a good choice for new and novice users.
- Transportability is easier, quicker, and swifter with no need for extra hands and help.
- Weather-resistant finishing with fade-resistant screen-printing graphics, adding style and charisma for the players.
- A user-friendly basketball hoop, ensuring a DIY (Do It Yourself) experience for many.
- Ideal basketball system for the beginners to learn the game and sharpen their overall eye-hand coordination.
What I Don’t Like About Pro Court?
If you are expecting an honest Lifetime Pro Court review, then there are some serious drawbacks to it as well.
Even a beginner may not feel comfortable with this basketball system. It’s mainly due to the following concerns:
- 44 inches backboard offers no layups and bank shots chance.
- Polycarbonate backboard can demean rebound performance, leading to low motivation for beginners.
- Instructions in the assembling guide are ambiguous. Novice users and new basketball lovers may find assembling challenging.
- The lack of compression spring makes the rim bouncy and the shots become less effective.
- The base is flimsy making the whole structure weaker to fall even on windy days.
- The telescoping height adjustment mechanism may be a bit challenging for new players.
Who is Lifetime Pro Court Series Best for?
The base of the Lifetime Pro Court system is too small. It suits beginners only! Therefore, this hoop is best for the newbies who are learning how to play the game.
The intermediate-level players can also choose to play basketball on it. However, if that’s you and you are planning to dunk then it’s a bad choice.
If you are ready for dunking and a bit harder play, you might consider an in-ground model like Spalding 888 Series for maximum experience.
That said, experts and professional basketball players will be absolutely disappointed. Even the 44 inches backboard is not of the standard size.
Conclusion
The Lifetime Pro Court is a good model for beginners only. It’s got a small base, tiny backboard, and standard rim, and is not made for adults, really.
A little mistake, like dunking the ball can make the whole system fall down on the ground. Such issues make it a safe choice only for the kids and newbies.

What I like the most about this model is the height adjustment system. You can lower and raise the hoop from 7.5 feet to a regulation 10ft.
So in other words, your little kid can easily grow with the hoop until he or she is ready for an upgrade.
All in all, there’s nothing wrong with the Lifetime Pro Court height adjustable portable basketball system if you are looking to get it for a little hoopster.
Even entry-level adult players might have some fun with it as well.

There are several factors about the Lifetime Pro Court that is steering me away from it. The base is only suitable for beginners, as advanced players will not be able to do slamming or dunking. Also, the rim is screwed on, making the rim too bouncy and yet flimsy at the same time. Combined with the height mechanism that is not friendly for kids and beginners, this is not a basketball system that I will invest in.

With the summer here, I’ve been searching for a hoop for my son and his friends. He’s still young and not into any serious pro moves yet. He just wants something basic for fun more than anything.
